Easy as 1,2,3 Tools & The Basics to Get Started

Ok the BIG question is do you need concealer, foundation & makeup blemish sticks all at the same time?? Ladies NO!!! I can tell u the more you try to cover a unsightly blemish the MORE you are making it obvious, Because we all have hair on our faces its best to use downward strokes to prevent the appearance of streakiness, since we have fines line applying concealer, blemish sticks to the area where these line appear makeup will only crease & become more of a focus point, This is not what anyone wants so stay away.Dont have a cake face!!!

I will be addding a tutorial for this look above so make sure to tune in.

PRODUCTS
Lets talk about the right products. If you have heard me say it once you have heard me say it a thousands times "Quality over Quanity" Never cheat yourself when u buy brushes, the quality is what u should look for when purchasing, As the end result IF U BUY CHEAP THERE WILL BE A NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE.

I use to buy bulks of makeup when I first started just trying em all out seeing what was high pigmented, what had more brilliance I was fascinated! Oh how I learned quick what looks good in the display case is NOT always the best, I know every girl has experienced buying a color b/c it looked bright or just nice lol, Only to come home & find out it was like chalk all of em turned into white color after a couple hours, huh??

EYE PRIMER

Well this is where eye primer became essential there are tons i used, by sephora my long lived one was by urban decay it was nice but I prefer a creme thats just me but it worked well just preferred more of a creamy primer like the one I use currently use by micabella, This allows me to give a sheer layer over my lid like so

the one the left is how thin the primer should look if it looks like the right side u should keep blending When u apply too much primer its the same as having none it will crease in your lids like so

Now when done right this is how your eyeshadow will appear

If you didnt know primer is used to prolong wear of eyeshadow & will make your eyeshadow look bright all day i used it often with my clients,

sometimes I can go to sleep & wake up & my make look just like the day before (yall know about those late nites u get tired, lol)

PROPER BRUSHES

Now lets talk brushes I have tons but thats because im this field , you have to have the necessary ones for starters then build from there,As yo being adding to your technique you will find having more than one of each works perfect when your doing lite & dark colors.

The Top 5 Brushes are
blending
angle/liner brush

powder brush

eyeshadow brush

foundation brush

Feel Like Me

Everyday Im anxious to see a new video a new makeup look or just something that will inspire me period. I love the fact I see in color (creatively speaking that is) All my clients often ask me well what do YOU use? Ladies I will let you know getting your skin to best react comes from trail & error! You cant just buy a product line & everthing in it work (UH UH NOT GONE HAPPEN IN MY NU NU VOICE !!) ...it Just DONT happen this way. I have what you call combination skin & I can get oily in my tzone area

(around my nose & forehead) so this is why i focus on NO OIL products such as biore wipes or astrigent by clean & clear

Below is a chart to find out what type skin you have & best used to guide you on what products you should look for when purchasing for your skin
Photobucket

DRY SKIN

People with dry skin usually have few breakouts and seldom experience blackheads. The reason for this is that excess oil blockages are what form blackheads, and dry skin is not prone to excess oil. This generally means that acne breakouts are rare for this skin type, although other problems may exist.

NORMAL/COMBINATION SKIN (ME)

People with normal skin and with combination skin suffer occasional breakouts, with mild-to-moderate blackheads that occur for the most part in the "t-zone.The skin may feel dry and tight immediately after cleansing but will soon feel more lubricated. The skin tone for normal skin usually is fair to medium, and a few early lines may appear around the eyes. This skin type usually will sunburn when first exposed to the sun, but then will tan.

OILY SKIN

Oily skin is characterized by more frequent breakouts and the presence of comdones or blackheads. The pores are enlarged and visible. After washing the face quickly becomes oily, the nose and forehead quite rapidly growing shiny due to increased oil production. Therefore, over the long term, oily skin stays youthful for a longer period of time than the drier types of skin. Oily skin rarely burns when exposed to the sun and usually tans easily.

I always ask if girls I meet if they exfoliate??

Most times THEY DONT,Ladies exfoilating is like cleaning off dead skin on your face when we go out in the harshest of weather the sun, fog, rain i mean ALL of this takes a toll on your skin so DONT forget in order for your skin to look good you HAVE TO TREAT IT GOOD =) I like apricot scrub by St Ives

personally it has micro beads that clean thru all the bacteria & dirt for some this may be too harsh but for me I have sensetive skin but i still find I need something a little stronger, Again trail & error will help you find what will work best. They do have a few versions so go to the counter & read hunies!!!

I know you ladies will take this & run ENJOY More to Come. Remember ASK QUESTIONS YOU ARE WHY I HAVE CREATED THIS BLOG COMMENT & ASK QUESTIONS!!!

Heres my favorite smokey eye I have 2 versions with black & chestnut brown

NATURAL SMOKEY W/CHESTNUT BROWN +RED LIP
SMOKEY EYE W/BLACK + NUDE LIP

HERE ARE SOME QUICK STEPS!!
STEPS 1-6: FOR SMOKEY EYE

Step One: Prepare the Eye Lid
To avoid your eyeshadow sitting in the crease of your eye and to create a longer lasting look prep your eye lid with an eye shadow base / primer. The primer I like to use is mine of course from my shesfabb collection.  I have tried tar & a few others but im sticking with mine LITERALLY!!

Step 2: Apply Eyeliner
Use an eye-liner pencil (black or gray looks best) to trace your top lashline from the inner corner right out to the outer corner. Make the line a bit thicker at the outer middle part of your eye. Then, use the same pencil to dot between your lower lashes. Smudge both lashlines with a cotton bud or an eyeliner brush. The eyeliner I like to use is  Soft Kohl  Liner Pencil in Black as it is great for smudging and easy to apply.

Step 3: Apply a Light Base Colour
Apply a light base colour all over the eye lid and right up to the brow bone. Choose a base colour with shimmer for a more dramatic evening look. Pigement works great after all.

Step 4: Blend in a Darker Colour
Next, apply a darker eye shadow (brown, gray and dark green all work with black or gray eye-liner) over your lid and into your crease, remembering to stop the deep colour at the crease. The key here is to Blend – Make sure to blend color into the lash line so the eye liner disappears and blend the color up and outward.

Step 5: Under They Eye
Do the same on your bottom lash line by adding darker eye shadow, however, you will not want to apply very much shadow or go more than a few millimeters below the lash line or you will get that dreaded “black eye” look. Less is more.

Step 6: Apply Lashings of Mascara.
To create a more dramatic look apply a few coats of mascara so lashes are thick and dark. My favorite mascara for evening is Covergirl.

Who says everyone CANNOT wear red colour lipstick??

The most flattering lip tones will be one or two shades darker than your natural lip color, according to makeup artist Bobbi Brown.

1. Women with fair skin, look great in lipstick shades such as nudes in a slightly apricot shade, pinks and light corals. Stay away from browns, which will appear blah.

2. Those with a medium skin tone can go a bit darker. You’ll look great in roses, mauves and berries. Skip the bright reds and consider a deep burgundy instead.

DARK SKIN

3. Deep plum, chocolate or red is fabulous with dark skin. According to the editors of Allure’s “Confessions of a Beauty Editor,” women with dark skin “can go in one of two directions: toward brown or purple. Think caramel or walnut for day, and plum or wine for evening.”

One big red lipstick no-no: It’s best NOT to match lips to your outfit.

No 1 wants to look like this but this is way overboardjust because "TO LOOK GOOD" Remember "Makeup is a Accessory NOT a NECESSITY"  USE WITH CAUTION!!!!!!!!

SOFT KOHL PENCILS  ARE BEST
Ok so yall know imma keep it "G" right? I see many people wear alot , but saying it looks good HELL NO, if you wear it do with some thought behind it. Clearly whats good on someone else is NOT good for everybody else. Keep in mind we all are different shades, have different skin , different facial structure I mean ALL this plays a part of making the final decision on makeup PERIOD!  I would suggest knowing where you fall in this equation. This will be a plus. My quick tip is to mix more than one colour to create one that looks great on you. Another tip is to throw away lip pencils Makeup has changed & the look a pencil gave off years ago is passe, so update your self with a matte lipstick with a soft kohl lip pencil if you MUST stick to your ol ways lol.
USE BIGG BUFF BRUSH W/POWDER FOR BEST RESULTS
Also when u want that pop of colour ADD loose powder this will set & POP that lip colour.
