ILLUMINATOR & CONTOURING.. WHEN & WEAR?? + HOW YOU GET ITS "GLO" POWER

Ok ladies JLo Kerry Washington even Beyonce are prime examples of that Glo illuminator can give off, Unlike Bronzer that gives a sunkissed look Illuminator is available in liquid

or powder form
Personally I have used the powder version By Estee Lauder I Love it
take notice in this I used illuminator Only notice my highlighted skin & the glo it gives off

For Bronzer I use one by Mac Cosmetics.

In this picture I used illuminator as a highlighter combined with my bronzer & it made me look phenomenal. Notice the difference how it contoured me.if you desire a golden finish use illuminator if u want contouring & glo use both illuminator & bronzer.

Ok I know u gals have built up your questions so here where I make it simple for you ladies heres a couple charts to follow & determine where the highlighter goes if u use both put in same places but add illuminator to top bronzer to bottom that will create contrast

I <3 THIS LOOK ON MY CLIENTS,HERES 1 I JUST DIE FOR

Let's start with contouring (it's the dark brown color in the photo above). When you contour, use a nice taupe shade or a deep bronze color. Try to avoid using most bronzers when you are contouring, you'll just look too orange.

ok now for the good stuff heres a Chart to know for sure wha goes where...

1. The temple.

The purpose is to make your face a little more oval in shape. As you might know already, the oval shape is the ideal shape for makeup application.

2. The nose.

Try avoiding making your nose mega-narrow.

This would completely alter your face. Imagine the shape and size of your face with a narrow nose. You will look too artificial! So use this technique just to define your nose so that you wouldn't look flat in pictures.

3. Cheekbones.

This is my favorite part to contour. It really makes a lot of difference! It can make you look like you've lost 5-10 lbs! Hahaha! Just be careful not to pile it on, otherwise, you will look like you have a streak of dirt on your face.

Just make it subtle and blend!

4. Jaw line.

This defines your face more. It can easily disguise double chins

and it really separates your face from your neck. It also adds shape to your whole face.

5. Eye Crease.

The purpose of contouring this part is to create the illusion of depth in the eyes. It adds drama to any makeup, and make your eyes pop out and really 3 dimensional.

6. Inner corners of the eyes.
HERES SOME OF MY WORK WITH THIS DONE

Make your nose appear narrower and your eyes deeper by adding shadow on this area

Highlighting
the light color in the photo above) is used when there is a certain part or feature you would like to bring out or "highlight" or "bring focus to" when there are certain flaws you would like to take focus off of.

1. The central part of your forehead. This creates an illusion of an oval face because it highlights the central part of your face. You highlight your forehead to bring it out from the rest of your face.

2. Under eye and cheek
triangle Disguise your tired eyes or dark circles with highlight. In this area, you can use a little bit of shimmer (but not glitter). The light reflecting particles reflects light so it gives your dark circles a lighter finish. This also brightens up your entire look. You want to bring out your cheeks, not make them recede.

3. Chin. This will bring out your chin area so that your chin is separated from your jaw line. Plus, this completes the oval-illusion we are trying to achieve.

4. Nose line.
Highlighting the top narrow bridge of your nose will make your whole face appear more oval and a bit longer. Plus, this makes your nose look "matangos" so that it looks more, again, 3 dimensional. You want to make your best features come out. I cannot stress this out more.

5. Brow bone.
This is the area between your crease and your eyebrows. By bringing this out, your eyes will have more depth giving you more space and "drama" to work with. Defining the eyes is important to give you that sophisticated and a put-together look.

6. Collarbone.
Bring out your collarbones so that you appear slimmer! There is no other reason and purpose for this. Haha! When you do do this step, I recommend using a cream highlighter first before you top it with a highlighting powder. If you use powder alone, it will just get erased before you even step out of the house

And finally...BLEND!!!!!!!

This is very important. You don't want any harsh lines.

Heres Some of My Work

**Please remember: this takes lot of practice. Chances are it won't look perfect the first time you try it. Don't get dicouraged, you'll get the hang of it!!**

TIP: highlight is light bronzer is darker*
As Always Ladies thanks for tuning in & STAY TUNED I WILL BE ADDING A TUITORIAL ON THIS VERY SOON =)

Whats Your Eyeshape & Eyelid type??

Ok so as I share this was my personal obstacle, I used to love how people who had their makeup look so well put together & NOT too dramatic, i knew it was possible but it Stumped me for months til I finally got it so here you will find the cheat way to discover

1.what your eye shape

2.where to apply eyeshadow

3.how to blend & how much & what color ENJOY!

EYESHAPE

I have hooded lids due to the fact I have more of my lid thats not showing but I also have deep set eyes b/c I have to create the separation myself for a smokey eye using darker colors for contrast look

Ok so heres a list of some you may know to get more of a visual on determining what type eyeshape & technique you need to achieve the most flattering look =D

Beyonce is a example of a Almond eye Shape, I HATE her lol, but if you notice how easy it is to make about any eyeshadow look good just by covering your entire lid you have this eye type!
Almond:

Considered to have "perfect" proportions, any eye technique will work.

Singer Tamia has a average eye shape

Average:

Apply contour along lash line, then along crease for a V-shape. Blend the application. Create a wedge at the outer corner using an accent color. Line upper and lower lashes

Actress Jessica Alba has wide set eyes

Wide Set:

The emphasis is on the inside half of the eye above the crease. Apply contour shade along lash line from inner corner out, and then back along crease to inner corner. Add an accent color in a small wedge at outer corner, being careful not to extend beyond the edge. Line upper lashes from corner to corner, adding a little lift at the outside. Line lower lashes and gently smudge.

Model Iman has a hooded Lids

Hooded Lids

The key is to use color to make it seem as though more of the lid is showing. Apply contour shade on lid from corner to corner, extending slightly above crease, and under lower lashes, working from outside corner to inner edge of iris. Apply accent color close to lash line above center of pupil and blend outward. Line upper lashes corner to corner, lower lashes from outside corner to inside of iris. (Keep Makeup simple and use matte colors in medium to dark shades)

Actress Penelope Cruz Has Close Set Eyes

Close Set:

The emphasis is on the out half of the eye. Apply contour shade along lash line and in along crease, starting above outer edge of iris, extending beyond outside corner and up. Blend the application. Make a large wedge at outer corner with the accent color. Line upper lashes from inner corner, or past outer corner of eye. Emphasize mascara application on outer lashes.

celebrity "La la" has prominent eyelids

Protruding/Prominent Lids:

The key is to contour below the crease to draw attention away from how much lid is exposed and to emphasize the upper lash line. Add contour shade over entire eye lid, blending carefully. Apply accent color along lash line from inner corner to slightly past outer corner, then in below crease instead of along it. Line upper lashes from inner corner out, with the line getting thicker at the outer corner. Line lower lashes, then gently smudge upper and lower line application.

As I told you ladies you will have a eye type & certian eye lid "la La" is a prime example she also has down turned eyelids
Down Turned Set: The focus for this eye shape, is to shade "Up and out". apply liner close to the upper lash line and blend shadow along the socket line in the outer 2/3 of the eyes. curling lashes and applying mascara can also to "left" the eyes.

This is just a bit to chew on ladies I wish you well on your journey if this poses questions PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR COMMENT, I MAKE THIS BLOG FOR ALL US #MAKEUPJUNKIES!!!!
